Via Verde or Green Way Excursion
We take you up into the Maigmó mountain located just 20 minutes from Alicante airport and is 660 metres above sea level.
The track, known as Via Verde or Green Way is an old railway built in the 1920's that was never used. It has since been converted into a cycle and walk way.
The route has no traffic and boasts some beautiful views.
We steadily cycle down through disused railway tunnels and over viaducts on the first part of the ride. The second part will take us through farm land filled with grape vines and olive trees.
There are 5 tunnels on the route, the longest being 525 metres.
We stop on the route for a small picnic where we supply sandwiches, snacks and refreshments.
Free pickup and drop off from Gran Alacant, La Marina, Santa Pola, Alicante and neighbouring areas.
When booking, please supply your address or hotel name and contact details.
Once booking is confirmed, we will pick you and your party up from your chosen address at 10am on the day.
A 10% deposit is taken at the time of booking.

Hi Paul, Jane and Kevin.
Just to say a huge thank you for our ride yesterday.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
From the scenery and tunnels to the beer and pit stops. We felt every aspect was taken care of and was great value for money. Would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.

Fantastic experience. Exceeded expectations. If you can ride a bike and you are remotely interested in the Spanish landscape and nature, you will love this gem of a trip. Starting up in the hills, the scenery is stunning right from the beginning. It is about two hours in the saddle all down hill, you barely need to pedal. If you are an adrenaline seeker this is not going to give you that sort of buzz, but let's face it, it is just too hot for bombing around. This journey on the other hand gives you a pleasant breeze as you roll along, taking in all of the changing scenery. The tunnels are real fun. The surface is stoney and loose, so a bit of care is needed, but anyone from 7 to 70 could handle it. Even our teenagers enjoyed it! The hosts take really good care of you, water, lunch, drinks all along the way. We were very spoiled, and if that's not enough there are fruit and nut producing trees along the final section that we sampled. Do it! Thanks so much.
